ShelterNet

ShelterNet is a transnational co-operation project of sheltered workshops from France, Germany and England which is promoted by the European Union.
Sheltered workshops provide work for people who, because of their disabilities, cannot succeed in open employment. Support for sheltered workshops increasingly diminishes and it is essential for them to strive for increased efficiency and to become self-financing.
They need to be adaptable and professional in order to succeed in the European markets.
The sharing of competencies, by way of virtual mergers, enables sheltered workshops to be more effective in the increasingly demanding European sector.
