Homabilis
\

Homabilis is a European partnership of sheltered workshops. This partnership aims to exchange knowledge, develop initiatives to offer products and services and find solutions for common problems together.

In 1989, the twin cities of Wattrelos (France) and Eschweiler (Germany) were looking to cooperate in the field of social job creation. Over the years, this cooperation became more intensive, leading in 1997 to a European interest group, called Homabilis.

Members meet at least twice a year, discussing developments and ideas. Politicians and European knowledge centres are invited to these meetings. Much-discussed themes are developing employment for the disabled target group, and concern about and demand for sufficient work and support by private and public organisations.
